Due to high demand, we are seeking to expand our expertise within our Quality and Compliance team and are therefore looking for experienced and dynamic HE Policy Associates to us on a contract basis.

The Person

Ideally you are already working within a higher education institution as a Quality/Compliance Manager or Academic Registrar and have good working knowledge of the Office for Students’ Conditions of Registration, as well as experience with the QAA’s Quality Code.

Preferably you may also have experience and/or working with other educational regulatory bodies such as Ofqual and Ofsted.

  • Demonstrated experience in higher education policy creation, analysis and review.
  • Real-world quality background working with standardisation, SARs, QIPs etc.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to guide and support our clients through the requirements and transitions when moving into HE.
  • A track record of working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Up to date in the every-changing HE and education political, policy and regulatory landscapes.
  • A passion for quality and compliance to support change and innovation.

The Role

As already stated, this role will be on a contractual basis, so you will be responsible for submitting monthly invoices and timesheets and for your own tax obligations and returns.

The majority of this role can be managed and delivered remotely but in some cases, we may need you to attend a client’s site or illuminare’s Head Office (based in Buckingham, Milton Keynes), however, due notice and availability will be checked before committing and never assumed.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of client’s HE policies and procedures.
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations and strategic plans for clients to achieve their HE ambitions.
  • Collaborate with clients to support the design and implementation of impactful solutions.
  • Carry out quality audits and assessments and submission of reports and recommendations.
